Ace a sales interview
In a sales interview, the recruiter is judging one thing above all: can you sell? And the first thing you have to sell is yourself. Here's how to prepare.
The questions you'll almost certainly get
- "Walk me through your typical sales cycle."
- "Tell me about a tough deal you closed."
- "How do you handle a customer who says no?"
- "What are your numbers?" (quota attainment, average deal size, close rate)
The golden rule: numbers, always
A salesperson who cites no numbers disqualifies themselves. Prepare 3 quantified wins: "+38% revenue on my book in one year", "30% close rate", "cut the sales cycle from 6 to 4 weeks". Numbers make your story credible.
Handle the objection live
If the recruiter pushes ("your experience is a bit short"), don't get defensive — it's a test. Reframe, acknowledge, then turn the argument around — exactly like you would with a customer.
Practise on your real job offer
Every sales role has its own codes (SaaS, retail, enterprise B2B…). Take a mock interview on the exact role you're targeting: the AI recruiter will ask the right questions and you'll get a detailed coaching report.
