Ace a community manager interview

The community manager is the brand's public voice. The recruiter tests your creativity, responsiveness and composure during a backlash. Here's how to prepare.

The questions you'll almost certainly get

  • "How would you react to a viral negative comment?"
  • "Describe a social campaign you're proud of."
  • "Which metrics do you track, beyond likes?"
  • "How do you adapt tone by platform?"

The golden rule: engagement and impact, not vanity

Cite metrics that matter: engagement rate, qualified growth, traffic driven, conversions. "10,000 likes" says nothing; "+30% engagement and 200 leads" convinces.

Prepare your crisis handling

A backlash role-play is almost guaranteed. Show your method: react fast, stay factual and human, escalate at the right time. Calm under pressure is decisive.

Show your platform fluency

Every network has its codes (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X…). Prove you adapt tone and format, and follow trends without blindly copying.

Practise on the exact job offer

Every brand has its voice (B2B, consumer, institutional…). Take a mock interview for the role you're targeting: the AI recruiter will ask the right questions and you'll get a detailed coaching report.
