Ace a logistics manager interview
In logistics, the recruiter wants someone who can keep flows moving on time, at the right cost, without breakage — and hold their team under pressure. Here's how to prepare.
The questions you'll almost certainly get
- "How do you handle a demand spike or a stockout?"
- "How do you optimise costs and lead times?"
- "Tell me about a logistics crisis and how you solved it."
- "How do you manage a warehouse team?"
The golden rule: own your KPIs
Talk numbers: service level, inventory turnover, cost per parcel, picking error rate, OTIF. Cite a concrete improvement: "service level from 92 to 98%."
Show your crisis handling
A failing carrier, an urgent order, a breakdown: describe your reflex for prioritisation, communication and a fallback plan. Operational composure is decisive.
Value floor management
The warehouse is about people. Show how you motivate, keep safe and organise a team, especially in tense periods.
Practise on the exact job offer
Every context differs (e-commerce, manufacturing, transport, distribution…). Take a mock interview for the role you're targeting: the AI recruiter will put you in real scenarios and you'll get a detailed coaching report.
